Leslie Sultan is an Attorney of Law in the City of New York. She earned her graduate degree at City University New York (CUNY) School of Law, N.Y., in May of 2008.
As an advocate for Prisoners' rights, Leslie has interned with Legal Aid Society, Prisoners’ Rights Project, ACLU, and the Correctional Association of New York. As a civil rights lawyer, she has represented victims of police brutality, false arrest and malicious prosecution and provided "know your rights" workshops to inner city youth at high risk of arrest and confrontational police encounters.
Currently, as a Sole Practitioner with her own firm, she handles all civil litigation matters regarding landlord/tenant, family, civil litigation and immigration matters and appears in civil, supreme and federal courts on behalf of her clients. She also performs transactional work in the areas of trademarks and copyright law, managing real estate transactions, and drafting wills.
Her honors include being the Editorial Staff Member with the New York City Law Review and being published by the Texas Entertainment and Sports Law Journal, for her article, “Options for Sustainability for Musicians,” in their Spring 2008 edition.
Ms. Sultan was a student in the Peacemaker Training Seminar and is currently the Secretary for the Board of Directors of the Peacemaker Corps.
